Herbal Health for horses, by ellen collinson
After first being published in 2012,
Ellen Collinson’s book on herbs for horses is now available on Amazon with new images, but with the original text.

There are many books on herbs, but not so many for horses, in this book Ellen Collinson lists herbs that are either easily accessible to pick or grow, that grow in fields and hedgerows and can be grown either in gardens or as strips in fields where the horse has ready access, their medicinal value and which part of the body they are best suited to assist. There is also a chapter on herbs that are only available to purchase from a herbal apothecary which can be used to make up combinations. However, there is an abundance of plants which form a natural medicine chest all around you.Ellen Collinson grew up in the north of England and began riding at the age of nine. With a lifelong passion for horses—especially racehorses—she has gained rich experience over the years. Now living in France, where she trains racehorses, Ellen is also a qualified herbalist and iridologist who shares her deep knowledge of natural herbal support for horses.
